Blog Layout - HELP

I'm hopelessly lost.  I can't figure out how to put an image behind my Blog title.  So behind the "Underworld Cleaning Service" words I want a cool old-school illo.

But when I go into "Design" if I try to pull a picture to insert there, the option to "Shrink to Fit" disappears.  If I try inserting a web link to an image, nothing appears at all.

No matter what I try, one of two things happens:
1)  No image appears at all
2)  I get an image, but it's way to big and goes way beyond my title box boundaries

I'm sure my blog readers are overcome with excitement at reading this titillating post!!

  1. If I correctly understand what you want to do, you should choose to 'Edit' the Header in the 'Page Elements' screen. There will be an option to link or load an image.

  2. I usually just put the title in the image using GIMP, and just load the "image as title" (I think that's the name of the option). I can manually resize the image that way, too, if I need to.

  3. Perdustin - thanks. That's where I go, but when I link the image nothing appears. When I load the image, the box to "Fit to Size" disappears.

Lord Gwydion - thanks. Is GIMP a free software to edit images? I'll give it a try.

  4. Ah, just found GIMP. I'll see if I can download it and use that to size my image.
